Live at Newton

For an assignment a video was to be made inspired by Hugh Garry’s ‘Shoot the Summer’ film about festivals. The whole film was shot on mobile phones that were handed out to some of the people visiting each festival artists and audience alike.
Myself and Matt Millward teamed up to create our own film using mobile phones. The film we made was based on the channel 4 music series ‘Live from Abbey Road’.

Using mobile phones to record lo-fi film was liberating in the fact that all prior knowledge of film making such as shot techniques etc. could be forgot about giving total creative freedom to make the film.

This is a guy.

He goes by the name Clay Morrow. I know what your thinking……… that’s a rubbish name. And you’d be right, but this guy is all like tech ‘n’ stuff and gives a little lesson about using gameboys as music sequencers. Not ground braking anymore but i still like it. Clay Morrow…..super cool tech guy or douche bag. You decide……

Beware?……. Of the subwoofers?…..Yup. He’s a douche bag.

Some people take their love of 8-bit music to other levels. Take a look at this goon. He must have sat, literally, for hours wasting his life learning to play this tune.

…and this is the man in the video. His names Trevor. Trevor’s an idiot.

This is alright though.

Field Music

I just have to put this band up here. They are a great combination of electronic and acoustic music. The video for this tune is ace as well!
